The panels were truly beautiful except that we discovered that the door-release lever on the drivers door was about 1/2" too far forward!  This door is actually from a later model car.    It was deemed "good enough for now" and stayed this way for several months.

Fast-forward a few months - the mad-dog syndrome had returned when one of the minuscule clips came off of one of those diabolical little pins that make the door straps work.  We decided to replace these instruments of torture with 4mm bolts and Nylock nuts.  Included in this picture is one of the plastic tubes that the bolts travel through.

The bolts worked beautifully! It was a bit tight with the wrench but compared to clip-on-pin exorcise - well, it just doesn't compare! And they won't come out until we tell them to!
