The
plan was to install one red LED in the oil temperature gauge, one red
LED in the oil pressure gauge, and three LED's in the tachometer, for
the high beams, alternator, and blinkers.
A small screwdriver was used to open up the crimped chrome bezel from the back of our sacrificial oil temp gauge. |

After
removing the bezel, and glass, the rear housing screws and screw post
nut were removed from the back side, and gentle pressure was used to
pry the gauge out of the housing.

|
Some
material had to be carefully removed with the all-important
Dremel tool to make room for the LED.
